Data Ownership and Governance

RJCOLLAB+ LDA serves as the data controller for all personal information collected through the platform, and as such, RJCOLLAB+ LDA bears responsibility for determining that the information collected is protected. Information Management

When you register for the platform, we collect the name, email address, organization, and referral source you provide. As you participate in the program, the platform records your course progress, activity completion, quiz responses, and language preference. We do not process sensitive personal information.

This information is used to administer and improve the program, track your participation and issue certificates of completion. The information collected may be used to send you program-related communications including reminders, updates, and other information relevant to your participation in the LDA. Data regarding completion of the program may be shared with your referring organization for purposes including stipend eligibility.

Sharing of Information

Your information is only shared with the partner organization that referred you to the program for purposes such as tracking participant support and communication. The RJCOLLAB+ partner organizations are the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, In Our Own Voice, NAPAWF, and URGE.

We may also share aggregate information about platform usage and participation patterns, stripped of any personally identifiable information, for program reporting purposes with all four partner organizations.

Program administrators can view your name, email address, course progress, and completion status. This access is limited to staff responsible for program delivery and support. Your individual quiz responses are used for program evaluation and are not shared outside the program administration team.

As part of our commitment to ensuring the privacy of our participants, we do not sell or exchange names or any other personally identifiable information with any parties outside the RJCOLLAB+ partnership.

Data Retention

RJCOLLAB+ LDA retains participant records for a minimum of one year. This retention period may be extended to meet continuing education accreditation requirements as the program develops. This includes your name, courses completed, completion dates, and any credentials awarded.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to ask what personal information RJCOLLAB+ LDA holds about you. You also have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate information. You may request that your personal information be deleted or limit the use and disclosure of your personal information.

There will be no discrimination against you for exercising your rights.

Cookies

While browsing a website, a web server generates small files of information called “cookies” that are sent to a web browser. The LDA platform uses cookies to keep you logged in during your session and to remember your language preference. These are functional cookies required for the platform to work. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. We do not share cookie data with third parties.

Third-party Content

Some course materials include embedded content from third-party services such as YouTube. When you interact with embedded content, those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through the platform.

Accessibility

RJCOLLAB+ LDA is committed to providing an accessible learning experience for all participants. Our course content is designed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. This includes screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, captioned video content, and accessible text alternatives for images. Policy Updates

RJCOLLAB+ LDA reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes through the platform.
